Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2015

March in Barcelona, Spain: delicious food, beautiful weather, and one of the biggest technology conferences in the world. Mobile World Congress is a yearly event that brings together almost 90,000 attendees, 2,100 exhibitors, and over 40 keynote speakers to discuss all things technology and mobility.

For the second year in a row, the Idaho Department of Commerce sponsored an exhibition booth that provides space to four Idaho-based technology companies. Being one of Idaho’s most well-known tech companies (as well as one of the Best Places to Work in Idaho) made MetaGeek an easy choice for inclusion.

Taylor and Lael worked the booth (along with representatives from Idaho tech companies Reach-In, ActionMount, and Cradlepoint) to not only show off our latest version of inSSIDer for Office but to raise awareness of Idaho for domestic and international companies looking for some new scenery.

Mobile World Congress also provided us with the chance to meet some of our international partners in person, as well to open up discussion for our current (and future) products.

When asked about the event after returning to work, Taylor said “It’s difficult to describe the size of the event– it was the largest group of people I’ve ever been around in the largest building I’ve ever been inside of. Being around that many techie people and getting a glimpse of future technology was pretty awe-inspiring.”
