Product Release

If you’ve logged into my.metageek in the past six weeks you probably noticed Labs in the sidebar. We’ve been testing out Network Snapshots with inSSIDer, and have now “graduated” Network Snapshots from Labs to a full feature of inSSIDer.

If you have inSSIDer Plus, you should now see a green camera icon above the network tables. Just click the camera to start collecting snapshots of your network. Snapshots will help answer questions like:

  • How was my network last week?
  • How do different rooms (or sites) compare to each other?
  • Things were working just fine last week, what’s changed?

After you have taken snapshots you can log into my.metageek to view the snapshots as shown below.

Now that Network Snapshots has been released we will continue to iterate on this functionality. We are already working on the ability to share snapshot information with team members and are planning to track network configuration changes.
